Here is Jared’s explanation of his cancelled surgery, God is so good!
My surgery: got to hospital at 5:30am. They admitted me and got me prepped for surgery. I met my 3 anesthesiologists who explained to me all the different tubes and iv’s I would have in me. The surgeon showed up and marked on my chest the main incision. Then with my wife, her parents, and my parents there my dad said a prayer. Then I was taken from that room to the operating room. The room was filled with medical instruments and doctors. They took me off the gurney and placed me on the operating table. The anesthesiologist said he would give me a nice “cocktail” and then I was out. While I was out they shaved my chest and put in a large IV in my neck and gave me a catheter. Everything was ready for surgery so they put a tube down my esophagus to check my heart one last time. The surgeon and doctors were baffled- my heart looked different- it didn’t look like it needed surgery- so they put some chemicals in my heart that put it under stress to see if anything changed but my heart was still good. An hour later they woke me from sedation and told me the surgery was cancelled- I was pretty confused. Several hours later they got another look at my heart and put me under natural physical stress and they couldn’t explain it! My heart had actually improved from needing surgery asap to not needing surgery at all! That doesn’t happen! But God healed me. Some of the nations best heart doctors can’t explain my hearts improvement, but I can- God healed my heart valve. Let me say that 1) God answers prayer because of His Son, Jesus Christ. And 2) God is still active and healing people today. After all, if God created the universe out of nothing- then restoring that creation isnt that much more difficult to believe. As it has been said, if you can believe the first verse of the Bible you can believe the whole thing. “in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Needless to say, we are overly joyful that I didn’t have to have surgery and can’t stop thanking God. Thanks again for praying.
